Legal Marketing Internship Program – Our 16-week unpaid internship program is designed to provide valuable career experience for students who wish to apply their education and skills in the legal services industry. Interns will see firsthand what goes into the making of a successful legal marketing campaign; they will handle campaigns from session planning to implementation; followed by measuring effectiveness through analytics, reports, and financial analysis to determine ROI on various marketing campaigns + projects.

My name is Maddie Tupy and I am a student at the University of Notre Dame majoring in Business Technology and minoring in Constitutional Studies. On campus, I am involved in the Habitat for Humanity Club, the California Club, the Club Coordination Council, and I am a Cyber Crimes Investigator for our county’s Cyber Crimes Unit. After college, I plan to spend time traveling and eventually earn my MBA to pursue a career in technology consulting. The Hayes Law Firm is an incredible place with warm people who taught me so much about marketing and law throughout the course of my internship there.
My name is Helena Robinowitz, a sophomore at Pomona-Pitzer College majoring in economics with a minor in Italian Studies. I became interested in the Marketing Internship at the Hayes law firm because I sought to gain experience in a new marketing field, and working with a law firm is the perfect place to do so. I play NCAA soccer for the Pomona-Pitzer Varsity soccer team and enjoy snowboarding competitively in my free time. I welcomed the opportunity to work with Hayes Law firm, as an experience working through marketing to help others was valuable for both my personal growth and career track.
My name is Louisa Suyanto and I graduated from UCLA in June 2020 where I majored in Sociology and minored in Film, Television, and Digital Media. I am currently pursuing my masters in Communication Management and focusing in Marketing Communications at USC. I have always wanted to pursue a career where I can utilize my creativity and ability to connect with people, and this is what led me to marketing. I am currently working at a marketing and advertising agency where I am expanding on these skills and implementing what I am currently learning in my studies. I’m looking forward to what the future brings!
Darrel Boye is a freelance Digital Film/Content Producer, Animator and Social Media Manager and Digital Marketer, He studied Digital Film Making / Animation and earned a Higher Certificate in both Digital Film and Animation/Vfx. Darrel has also been running video editing courses and art classes, podcasts and audio recordings in-person at the American Corner Cape Town, South Africa and virtually to empower upcoming entrepreneurs in various fields. He also runs his own Production/Events company and NGO; DBoye Creatives Inc, based in Cape Town, South Africa and Los Angeles, CA, U.S.A which also seeks to produce and tell authentic African and African American Stories through digital media, promote and support upcoming and already established businesses, NGO’s and entrepreneurs, train and create employment for youth in the film industry, technology and to encourage exchange of skills between South Africa, the rest of Africa, U.S.A. and the rest of the world.
Stella Linardi is a rising junior at Cornell University, pursuing a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations. Stella has previously interned for Senator Kamala Harris of California at the Los Angeles headquarters, interned for the CA Commissioner of Labor at the Dept of Labor in Long Beach, and worked as a research assistant at The Workers’ Institute at Cornell University. She hopes to one day become an attorney in order to educate people on the law, protect people and their individual rights, and promote restorative justice in America.
Starting this Fall, Shannon is going to be a senior at UCLA studying communications. When she is not studying for exams or writing papers, you can find her with her sorority sisters giving back to the community with Red Cross raising awareness for Women’s heart health. In her free time, she enjoys spending time on the beach and going on hikes. The nearing future after graduation holds a prospective law or marketing career.
Estelle Rai is a third year student studying Political Science and Political Economy at the University of California, Berkeley. She is interested in the intersection of human rights, technology, and corporate compliance, and she hopes to pursue these interests in the legal field.
My name is Kayla Long and I am a junior at the University of California Los Angeles where I am majoring in History with a concentration in Western Civilization and minoring in Professional Writing–on Pre-Law track. On campus, I am involved with UCLA’s student operated student newspaper The Daily Bruin where I am a Digital Media Editor, and I also am the Director of Professional development for UCLA’s Honor society. I am involved with a variety of Pre-Law undergraduate committees and I am associated with the Transfer Success Society. I also volunteer as an on-campus assault awareness counselor. I am currently beginning the law school application process where I hope to specialize in tech/media law, and I am taking the law school admission exam this August.
Hi! My name is Abbie Hovey and I’m a junior at UCLA. I’m majoring in Psychology and Political Science, concentrating in International Relations. I’m the Deputy Director of Legal Affairs for the UCLA Business Law and Investing Society, and I’ve had previous experience working in an administrative position at a Los Angeles law firm. I’m excited to have found a virtual internship opportunity where I can get more experience working in a law environment and learn more about how to effectively market a business.

I was involved in the Association for Women in Sports Media, the Kappa Tau Alpha honors society, Alpha Omicron Pi sorority and the Sports Media Club. I plan on attending law school in 2022, and hopefully becoming an entertainment or intellectual property lawyer in the future. My name is Meagan Chang, and I am a legal marketing intern at the Hayes Law Firm. I am a William H. Danforth Scholar and an incoming sophomore at Washington University in St. Louis, where I am pursuing a double major in legal studies and finance. At school, I am part of Phi Delta Phi, a pre-law fraternity, and a club called TASSEL where we teach English to children in Cambodia. In my free time, I enjoy singing in my a cappella group, Reverb. After graduation, I hope to go to law school and become a lawyer. So far, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time interning at the Hayes Law Firm, as it has taught me valuable marketing skills and has given me key insights into estate planning and probate law.
Gosling is a studio art student graduated at ELAC and studying Paralegal Studies and Political Science at the PCC. She is interested in the political science and human rights, and really enjoys reading the newspaper and social news. She hopes to improve knowledge in all aspects of law, including estate planning, trust administration, and probate. She finds joy in helping protect people and their individual rights.
My name is Hemani Patel and I am a fourth-year at UC Berkeley majoring in Legal Studies with a minor in Public Policy. On campus, I am the President of a pre-law fraternity, Sigma Alpha Nu and am part of our campus student government, the Associated Students of the University of California (ASUC). After college, I hope to earn my J.D. degree and pursue a career in corporate law. The Hayes Law Firm has given me the amazing opportunity to embark on this internship where I can learn about core marketing strategies and develop a skill set that would be useful in my future endeavors.

Interning at the Hayes Law firm was an immersive and multidimensional experience, where I had hands-on experience with marketing strategy, legal documentation drafting, and essential administrative tasks that play a significant part in operating a successful law firm. With the skills and experience I have acquired over the course of interning at the Hayes Law Firm, I am thrilled to be applying all that I have learned to my upcoming summer internship working as a Social Media Coordinator for a tech-startup.
